Columbia Pike Bike Boulevards: Demand a SAFE, CONNECTED plan with a LONG-TERM VISION!
For a variety of reasons, good and bad, Columbia Pike is being completely rebuilt without any dedicated bike facilities. Instead, parallel routes are supposed to exist for bikes just north and just south of the Pike, the Columbia Pike Bike Boulevards. These routes have never been safe, comfortable, and connected, but the County was supposed to be unveiling a plan to change all of that.
Sadly, the proposed concept plans unveiled at the September Open House are woefully insufficient.

Nobody in Arlington should have to put up with this casual disrespect of the neighborhood. People should be able to walk on streets that are safe
No one in North Arlington would put up with this. Time to speed it up and clean it up. South Arlington residents and businesses have suffered through this for long enough.

Missing Middle zoning (aka making duplexes to 6plexes by-right on single-family lots, depending on their size) is once again legal in Arlington. At least until the next round of dead-ender litigation from NIMBYs who don't seem to get that Arlingtonians keep voting for pro-MM County Board candidates.

Saw tennis star & noted NWSL boyfriend Ben Shelton in the tunnels postgame in DC.
Gave a couple of folks an informal injury update, saying he plans to play next in the Tokyo Open in about three weeks.
Shelton pulled out of the U.S. Open early and will miss the upcoming Laver Cup.
