Everything you list were presented w insane promises, over-adopted by the masses, and gradually scaled back over time as their limits&downsides became too pervasive to ignore. Being skeptical about the promises is historically correct. Nobody says A.I. won't be used for something; heck we use it now
I don't think the skeptics are inherently wrong. But saying something isn't going to happen when the only evidence is it doesn't work YET didn't convince me when they said the internet was a fad, that no one wanted smart phones because we had the internet at home, and everyone wanted physical media.

Just watched Marty Supreme- I simply don’t get why they didn’t see through the orange ping pong balls - given the final match had them wearing white! Atleast 30 mins too long, and way too much Kevin O’Leary and too little Tyler. Chemistry was meh. Good sound score though.
