On House procedure: any member can force a vote on impeachment (or anything relating, appointing managers etc.), but Jeffries as minority leader has a special privilege: he can force a privileged vote on the floor immediately, right then, rather than within two days like anyone else can do.
that doesn't mean she'll be removed, that's a 2/3 vote in the Senate versus a majority of the House, but unless there are games Johnson can play to keep it off the floor-- and at least some of the process is privileged-- i have a hard time believing that Noem impeachment doesn't have 218 right now

One thing I found deeply moving about resistance in the Twin Cities was the universalism of loving your neighbor, the philosophy driving the opposition to the ICE/BP invasion. I couldn't help but notice the contrast with the blood and soil-ism of Miller and Vance. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...
