Aonishiki's rise over the last year has been one of the delights of getting into sumo fairly recently. Some of my other favs aren't doing so hot (Poor Ura!) but Aonishiki's tremendous.
🤼Aonishiki does what Aonishiki does - holds good position, controls center, fires off a variety of attacks til he finds the one that works. This time it's uwatenage (overarm throw) and the impressive part is he does it to Hoshoryu. Aonishiki 11-2, Hoshoryu falls to 8-5.
