BREAKING: Super powerful words from Jack Smith just now:

"The investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in criminal activity… No one should be above the law in this country and the law required he be held to account.”

A DOGE staffer signed a deal to share the data with a “political advocacy group” seeking to “overturn election results"

The identity of the staffer is not disclosed but there are clues

I have been actively involved in protest movements for 24 years. I have never seen anything approaching this scale. Minneapolis is not accepting what's happening here. ICE fucking murdered a woman for participating in this, and all that did is bring out more people, from more walks of life.

Kind of weird being at the center of what might be a world-historical event. I can’t say I like it, but here we are, I guess. Your life is defined by making the most of the random circumstances in which you find yourself.

Nobody is committing acts of violence other than ICE.

"Violence" in the context of opposition for this administration is literally any act of protest.
Violence only helps Trump & may provide him an excuse to further trample our rights by invoking the Insurrection Act.

🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional!

ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.

I would argue that the case for dismantling ICE has, at this point, virtually nothing to do with larger questions of immigration enforcement and reform, it's just clearly incompatible with a free and democratic society to maintain a secret police force with sweeping and arbitrary authority.
Senator Gallego weighs in as well. Note that at the start of 2025 he was considered a *moderate* on immigration and co-sponsored the Laken Riley Act. Him and many other Dems have been increasingly horrified at what ICE is doing and shifted away from a "more enforcement" focus.

If the TTRPG you make and release is effectively another game with a house rule or two.. You should have just released those house rules.

This is mostly at the OSR / dungeon game crowd but applies broadly. You can publish those parts on their lonesome. You should! That's a game!!

The idea that there are no protests in the US and no one is standing up to Trump is proving incredibly hard to kill over here in Germany. It’s become dogma, utterly detached from empirical reality.

I wonder if the people who keep talking like that understand they’re perpetuating regime propaganda.
