This is the genius of the Portland protests - they make the claims of lawlessness look not just wrong, but comical

Been trying to get back into playing video games a little more lately. I used to play a ton, and then I guess I got burnt out on them or bored?, so I stopped playing.

Currently playing:
• Playdate — Echo: The Oracle's Scroll
• Switch — Dead Cells
• SteamDeck — Control, Remember Me

If you continue to support the Harry Potter franchise in any way, you are directly funding the removal of trans people's human rights in the UK.

I get where you're coming from completely and I think I kind of for the most part agree? But I think where I'm at might be to an extreme of where you are on the response to discomfort. I understand though. And Y E S to part two.

It's genuinely absurd how far people will go to avoid being uncomfortable or inconvenienced.

It's just lazy baby politics. A toddler's understanding of living in and being a part of a society. Conservative policy logic is written in crayon.
bammax.itch.io
Modern conservativism can be summarily described as being against personal discomfort. Boycotting, for example? That's a personal discomfort: they'd have to change a habit, and changing a habit is uncomfortable and inconvenient. Therefore, the habit doesn't change, and no boycott happens.

If you're wondering how that conservative boycott of Netflix over acknowledging trans people exist went, the answer is predictable and obvious: nowhere. Netflix stock is up, actually. Why? Because conservatives ultimately expect *other people* to follow through on boycotts so they don't have to.

The record-breaking numbers of this system are hard to overstate. But it’s also not JUST that there’s more money to detain and deport undocumented immigrants.

There’s also been a shift in the kinds of folks the feds are arresting—and where they’re being arrested. bit.ly/3WrAsyq

I also think this video is particularly important to combat that "Portland is a war zone" bullshit. Who rolls up to a warzone in inflatasuits blasting Yakety Sax? Fucking no one lol. Nothing beats propaganda's ass like reality.
