We have been tracking people’s experiences with gendered spaces and our new report looks at the impact of the 2025 EHRC interim update on access to, and experiences within, gendered spaces in the UK.

In 2012, a Conservative government awarded April Ashley, a trans woman, an MBE for "services to trans equality".

How far are we from a Labour government revoking that award, because trans people don't deserve equality?

the bbc changed their article from saying 'trans woman' to saying 'biological male who identifies as a woman'.

even if you don't care about trans ppl it should alarm you just how captured the bbc has become.

they will no longer even say 'trans woman'. that's not normal and shows massive bias.

The Hong Kong fire was far worse than the Grenfell Tower fire. Investigators discovered that the exterior windows of the lift lobby were being replaced at the time, and temporary styrofoam had been used to cover the openings.

Text says: This section provides a comprehensive description of the methodology employed in this study to develop an explainable XAI framework for ASD diagnosis and parental support. The proposed framework integrates the TabPFNMix regressor, a state-of-the-art machine learning (ML) model for tabular data, with SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) to ensure both high predictive accuracy and interpretability. The methodology is structured into five subsections: (1) Dataset Description, (2) TabPFNMix Overview, (3) SHAP for Explainability, (4) Framework Design, and (5) Evaluation Metrics. Figure 1 shows the overall methodology. Informed consent was obtained from all participants involved in the study, and, where applicable, consent was obtained from legal guardians for minor participants as approved by the IRB. And then Figure 1 is shown with lots of AI errors on the image. An absolutely totally fine this can be published in a science journal image that purports to show how the study was carried out but instead is just AI slop.

I’ve had one traditionally published book. No advance. First batch of royalties lasted abt 4 months. I live on a disability pension that covers my rent and a little for utilities. Food is scarce. I get a grant now and then, and when I don’t, it’s very rough.

Meta stole the book to train its LLM.

In short, I've tried everything . . . except Bics, with which I feel absolutely no affinity. I would even say, a bit nastily, that there is a "Bic style," which is really just for churning out copy, writing that merely transcribes thought. In the end, I always return to fine fountain pens. The essential thing is that they can produce that soft, smooth writing I absolutely require.

Dispensing false information in a confident tone, rather than offering no answer when none is readily available, is a major flaw of generative AI, experts say. An audit of the top 10 generative AI models including ChatGPT, Gemini and Meta’s AI by the media literacy non-profit NewsGuard revealed that the non-response rates of chatbots went down from 31% in August 2024 to 0% in August 2025. At the same time, the chatbots’ likelihood of repeating false information almost doubled from 18% to 35%, NewsGuard found. None of the companies responded to NewsGuard’s request for a comment at the time.

This little transphobic rant by Hadley Freeman in the Sunday Times really shows how pathetic gender critical ideology is. They play victimhood every day from the national media, while childishly insulting the existence of trans and non-binary individuals, calling any criticism of that 'silencing'.
When The Times broke the news last week that the Equality and Human Rights Commission submittedits guidance three months ago that single-sex spaces should be protected, and not breached by those of the opposite sex no matter no matter how they “identify”, and Labour has done sod all about implementing the guidance, two truths were confirmed. First, gender ideology is anti-gravity nonsense that only the desperate, the deluded and the double-dealing grifters still believe. And, second, too many alleged grown-ups in the room are still, unforgivably, too scared to say so

Generative A.I., the thing that drives our whole economy right now, is a perfect metaphor for the abject failure of imagination on the part of the powerful. Generative A.I. has no imagination and offers no new insights. It's a mere predictive engine that uses statistics to find the most likely next thing. What's the next word in a sequence, the next pixel in a picture? This is the opposite of imagination, which is so often about finding the least likely thing, the startling incongruity. I worry that so many of us are outsourcing our imaginations and our whole creative selves to these stochastic parrots.

I think it is actually immaterial whether the “financial, educational, nonprofit and political elites” are or are not “mass rapists.” I don’t think anyone is making the argument that rape is the *only* misdeed for which elites are escaping needed accountability. It’s just the most outrageous one.
