People want to believe that the GOP’s electoral success in red states is the result of dirty tricks and gerrymandering instead of the sincerely held beliefs of a majority of the population because a mechanical issue is easier to fix than wrestling with how to make people not believe what they do.

I personally think he did it because of two reasons- one theres lots of accounts that Bill is Bisexual which i can see, and two trump has always worshipped power and thats a huge part of who he is (apparently hed try to get his friend’s wives to sleep with him), Bill-DJT is disgusting, but on brand
the main reason I doubt that Donald Trump tumped off Bill Clinton is because Donald Trump has a body incompatible with physical activity, he exists to stand at strange canted angles and drape himself liquidly over lecterns and slump in chairs like a spoiled boy denied his lolly and that's it

The story about the gun got buried, virtually nobody in any position of influence talked about it. The more significant element of this was money. The business class within Seattle really liked his harsh-crackdowns-on-unhoused-people policy, and they put a lot of resources behind his campaign.
