The year is 2035. There are three game studios left. Each one produces a game every 10 years, killing 250+ developers in the process. They all accidentally make the same game because they used genAI in preproduction. They sell 500 million units each, missing quarterly targets. Everyone is laid off.

"We don't want to be Luddites --" brother, Luddites were opposed to bosses concentrating wealth by using technology to make inferior product with warehouses fulls of starving exploited child labor. You don't have to wear the team jersey but respect the game.

It’s fascinating to me that people are still mad at this lady instead of worried about a culture where being caught doing something harmless in a viral video marks you for life
This is going to trigger another round of abuse for this woman but the basic facts appear to be that she was separated at the time and so was the CEO. She recoiled on the jumbotron because her husband was attending the same concert.
At a Coldplay concert in July, Kristin Cabot appeared on the Jumbotron in the arms of her boss. Cabot retreated, trying to make things right with the people who mattered most. Now, for first time since that viral moment, Cabot is sharing her side of the story. trib.al/I8tWdU4

If you’re not willing to engage in a Butlerian Jihad against the Plagiarism Machine, you’ve never actually made anything that mattered
periodically I'll see a backlash that goes a little too far or seems kinda unfair. i never say anything because i think we need to be kinda unhinged and zealous in our response to this shit. I'd take an honest-to-God crusade against this stuff over letting it proliferate.
We can do even more.

We spoke to a dozen professional concept artists who are currently or have previously worked in game development about whether generative AI image tools have made their jobs any easier.

Zero said it did. Most said it made things harder.

Concept Artists Say Generative AI References Only Make Their Jobs Harder
“The ‘early ideation stages’, when worlds are being fleshed out by writers and artists, are literally crucial to the development of a game’s vision,” said one artist.

Remember those few weeks in 2024 where Dem politicians were simply calling these people weird and it was clear it was catching on and then Dem strategists said to stop doing that

Yeah this whole PR assault we're seeing right now is investors realizing how fed the fuck up everyone is with this inefficient basura bot scam and knowing the inevitable crash is nigh
All I see is a man who is heavily leveraged on AI and doesn’t want to lose money when it proves to have no true value.

Over this century, America has developed a culture of business that is only interested in running securities trading

They have *no idea* how to run another kind of business, and the way those businesses operate kinda piss them off

“it’s reasonable to ask questions about trans girls in sports” was always intended to mainstream transphobia.

It’s absurd that people fell for it. Democrats are constantly letting oppressors set the terms of debate instead of just saying “no, fuck you.”
