RUBIO: Maduro was indicted. Nobody ever did anything about it.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Hernandez was convicted by a jury

RUBIO: The pardon authority is something I'm not involved in

STEPHANOPOULOS: Do you support it?

RUBIO: I wasn't involved in those deliberations. I haven't looked at the case file.

It's also happening at a time when sea level is rising faster than previously assumed and climate crises are accelerating, because we have REFUSED to take advantages of alternatives to oil.

We are writing our own death sentences.

Please do not lost sight of the fundamentals here. Now we are claiming that other country's resources are actually ours. We own them. It's not new, of course; Iraq is but one of many examples. But we just invaded a country and deposed its leader to TAKE ITS OIL.
THIS WAS AN ACT OF WAR AND A VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW.

But put that aside for a second…

What’s wild is that Marco Rubio isn’t even pretending anymore. He’s not hiding that the invasion of Venezuela is about oil.

This is going to end up a dumpster fire…

40 people died last night in this coup. They were not “our troops,” but they were demonstrably in “harm’s way.”
Donald Trump’s unconstitutional military action in Venezuela is putting our troops in harm's way with no long-term strategy.

The American people deserve a President focused on making their lives more affordable.

Oil wars are a natural outcome of NIMBYism & car culture.

If you don't like oil wars, first thing to do is, live that way if you can. If you can't: at least help make it easier for more people to live without oil wars.

But as long as NIMBYs and carbrains control our cities, there will be oil wars.

Without congressional authorization, Trump escalated an undeclared war with Venezuela. U.S. military forces captured the country's dictator and his wife after bombing a military base, while Trump gloated about the operation and said: "We're going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transition."

THREAD. Every year, I tell the story of Ezell Gilbert. It's the story of one of the most remarkable cases in U.S. history, and you’ve probably never heard of it. The story of what the U.S. government did to him is vital for understanding the current moment we are in.

after bidding $100,000 for a painting during an auction at Mar-a-Lago, Trump describes $2 million as "peanuts" for another bidder and the painting eventually goes for over $2.5 million

My data is a couple months old at this point, but about 1.6% of posts by the Alt National Park Service are about the actual National Park Service.

As gently as I can say it: notice they rarely post on the NPS.

If the merch on your car has meaning to you, and helps raise awareness of threats to public lands, that was your contribution, not theirs.

There is no evidence (to date) that any of their merchandise sales support the National Parks.

Fact check:
✅Chicago's crime rate was already down
✅NG troops were never actually deployed in the city
✅Some did patrol a suburban immigration facility for just one day
✅We did have hundreds of federal agents here terrorizing the city & suburbs but Trump's guard plan in Chicago was foiled
Trump announces he’s pulling the National Guard from Portland, LA, and Chicago but threatens that “We will come back, perhaps in a much different and stronger form, when crime begins to soar again - Only a question of time!”
