On August 15, 1997, Right Stuf announced that they acquired the rights to 1993 series The Irresponsible Captain Tylor. In the announcement, the publisher revealed that they would ship the first volume two volumes, which contained four episodes each, in subtitled format first, followed by a dub edition at a later date.[ “Press Release: Right Stuf Licenses the Irresponsible Captain Tylor” 1997] The first volume shipped on October 21, 1997, while the second tape hit stores a month later on November 25, 1997. Both volumes carried a suggested retail price of $19.95.

One thing that I find hilarious? I always see people calling Captain Tylor "underrated" and that it needed "more recognition", but, like... it was BIG. This was basically TRSI's signature series until Comic Party. It was quite popular in fansubs, to the point that you had multiple groups subbing it.
