The SAVE ACT would make everyone prove citizenship (passport or birth certificate) to #VOTE. Do you have a passport? 50% of Americans do not. Do you have an original copy of your birth certificate?

Contact your Senators: Demand they do NOT pass the SAVE Act.

Progressives on Susan Collins:

"Susan Collins is the big reason we are in this mess. Susan Collins voted for every reckless budget. It's what has allowed ICE to have this impunity. Susan Collins voted for masks on agents & surveillance tech. She voted to make ICE what it is today."

On a smaller scale, the "drawdown" of "enhanced operations" by ICE and CBP in Maine has meant, so far, that they've moved into more rural regions and smaller communities and are taking larger numbers per raid.

Changing tactics, adapting to resistance, and re-organizing as they continue.

Donald Trump & his cronies are trying to block me from doing my job at every turn.

But we’re fighting back, and we’re winning.

The American people deserve leaders committed to free speech, the rule of law, and keeping America safe.

It’s interesting to note that Susie will be speaking at an event where participants will be gifted laptops for their attendance. It may not be a million dollars, but doesn’t it look at least a little like she’s trying to buy votes? #SeeYaSusan

Just a horrific turn of events. Does any GOP politician care about this?
The US administration is going to kill its people while they cheer.

New in PN: The Fulton County raid is part of Trump's total war on voting

"The SAVE Act is not expected to pass the Senate, but in some ways, it doesn’t really need to. It's already served the same purpose as the raid: undermining confidence in elections by amplifying debunked lies about fraud."
The Fulton County raid is part of Trump's total war on voting
And it's disturbing that a magistrate judge signed off on it.

I'm having a hard time reconciling the fact that the Appointments Clause is supposed to be an indispensable protection for liberty with the fact that DHS is operationally under the control of a special government employee who is not legally allowed to work more than 130 days a year.
There is so much crazy shit, outrageous corruption, and naked, hamfisted ambition in this WSJ piece about Noem, Lewandowski, and DHS. Gift link. Read and take note of the of eye-popping number of sources who have knives out for Kristi and Corey.

So now they are coming for people like me -- naturalized US citizens. Given the lies that we have seen from ICE and DHS recently, I would say this makes any naturalized citizen vulnerable. Will any Republicans have the guts to stand up and oppose him on this?.

Reporter: Trump argued that other countries are going to pay the brunt of the tariffs, but recent research finds the exact opposite. The cost of Trump's tariffs per household was $1,000 last year, and they're seeing an increase this year to $1,300.

A rule that is legally flawed, scientifically indefensible, and defies common sense, the EPA has strayed from its mission to protect the public health and has now chosen to side with billion-dollar fossil fuel companies over the people it is meant to serve.

I was born and raised in rural Trump country. I'm telling you...I CONTINUE to see Republicans saying, "F*ck Donald Trump!" The level of anger they are feeling...will not find them voting for Trump.

Not. Gonna. Happen.

I know these people. THIS...is different.

The SAVE Act would require Americans to show a passport or birth certificate in person just to register to vote.

Millions of Americans don’t have access to these documents. This is voter suppression, plain and simple.

Trump can lie all he wants, but he doesn’t get to rewrite reality.

Republicans allowed health care premiums to double for millions of Americans. Now families have to choose: Put food on the table or pay for their health care.

This is what the Republican Party did.

Trump nominated a legit white nationalist to a top post at the State Department. I asked him some basic questions about his belief in the “erasure of white culture”. Watch this embarrassing, fumbling answer. Like he has never before been asked to explain his views.

Too many people underestimate how evil Google is and how impactful its evil is. Yeah, the company that struck down its "don't be evil" maxim a while ago, because I guess it felt too constraining.
At Google, speech critical of ICE is censored from the company's internal platform, employees who speak out are served with warnings, and leadership refuses to acknowledge a petition that's now gotten 1,200 employee signatures.

Inside the worker-led push to get ICE out of Google:
Google is stifling anti-ICE speech in the workplace as 1,200 employees call on the company to cut ties
The search giant has made it harder and riskier to protest its policies. Workers are still fighting back. Plus: A community takes down a data center, QuitGPT, and the 5 worst Super Bowl AI ads.
