This is everywhere in the Unity engine, and it's not like it makes it more "thread safe" since the majority of the logic runs in a single thread. Just a baffling design decision; I'd love to know the reasoning behind it.

Indies, there's a lot of beloved franchises out there that are just aching for indie reboots. While the IP is under copyrights the ideas are not; there's no reason we can't have an indie takes on The Sims, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect. The gameplay, the settings, the themes are all free to pick up.

More and more people reporting today that Stripe - the payment processor that Itch said were putting the most pressure on them - now have staff actively confirming that yes, they are censoring LGBT content, adult or otherwise. That this is official company policy.

This seems kinda significant.

Absolutely! The Hawaiian culture is full of really endearing and empathetic acts like that.; they grew up in a land that provided everything, so focus was on play and caring for each other. I wish more cultures adopted it!

Native Hawaiians have a greeting called Honi, which has a part of exchanging breaths with your heads held close. The term ha'ole which is used interchangeably with "foreigner" literally means "no breath" as they did not greet people the same way as the natives.

This is one of the best ideas I've heard in ages.

Reddit post on r/technology about young people and AI: "I recently heard about a teacher who instead of trying to circumvent students using AI, which is impossible, she made assignments by going "ask ChatGPT to write a report on this subject, and then research how and why it's wrong".

Not only did the students discover that ChatGPT is extremely wrong a lot of the time, it also lead them to realise that they should not use it as a primary source".
