There is still beauty in the world if you know where to look.
Sunlight dancing on a field of wildflowers, or the deep ancient darkness in the eyes of moss ghouls, rising from their forgotten tombs in the old forest.

Darlings, a moment.

You are *not* hard to love. If someone made you feel that way, that is 100% about THEM and their own bullshit.

Loving people is easy. None of us are perfect. We're all quirky, with flaws and baggage.

But love doesn't give a damn about that minutiae.

Through an almost impossible combination of circumstances I just stepped squarely into wet cement being freshly poured from the cement truck. Wearing sandals. I’m sure other people feel like certain shit only happens to them, but hello, hi 👋🏽

(I don't want to hear about your fancy, "easy-to-use" pill containers, this is a cognitive ability monitoring flag)

Hey, remember the aquarium in Hendersonville that had the pregnant stingray but no male stingrays but male sharks and there were a bunch of news stories about stingray-shark hybrids and maybe one or two more sober guesses about parthenogenesis and then we heard basically nothing for MONTHS? (1/2)

I sometimes look at accounts like Jamelle Bouie and how wild their replies are but I think it’s more a case where on Bluesky absolutely everyone thinks they can take a run at anyone else no matter how silly it is. This is the website where people who posted a lot thought they could bring down dril

I miss websites.

I miss being able to compartmentalize content and choose when I wanted politics, death, cats or even fuckedcompany.

Now I go to sites that just mash that all together and my brain doesn’t want to go from cute cats to genocide to baseball with 30 seconds…

It doesn’t.

The weirdest people you run into on Bluesky are the people you used to argue with on Twitter to the point of calling each other dumbass piss babies but now neither of you have the energy so it’s just like ehhhhhhh that guy, he knows what he did

The goal isn’t to eliminate meltdowns.

That isn’t possible.

The goal is to engage with them in a healthy way and minimize them by recognizing where they come from.

the other thing about autistic people I'll just throw out is that while I definitely think it's true that we tend to be introverted, I also think it's the case that many of us are actually very outgoing when we feel we have "permission" to be, and a lot of autistic social withdrawal is caution-based

ppl fall in love easily and devote all their love to someone else, they COULD practice, but they usually don't

and then after a breakup etc they don't know how to love themselves

and then you have no one to practice on

except yourself x

“You have to learn to love yourself before you can love someone else.”False! Loving others is good practice for loving yourself.

Love a terrible cat. Love him while he steals your lunch and terrorizes your tchotchkes. You are at least as lovable as that cat—you haven’t even pooped on anyone’s bed!

If ENT messes up my hematoma for a second time I’ll have to have some words. Scared out of my mind because the fluid is now hardened so this means more pressure to aspirate it… and more pressure means ouch… little sleep doesn’t make this easier

Neuronormativity is dangerous. People cling to normalcy and shun "weirdness" as if it's a mere personal preference, nothing more sinister. "Lol, how is it 'dangerous' to mock and shun weird people?" If I had the energy, I could write a book dripping with so much sarcasm as to be unreadable.
So, that's why bullying persists: antisocial behaviors are not corrected because they're perceived as normal, while innocent people who just don't fit the norm don't get help because society considers THEY should change and become "normal". GREAT. 🙄 That explains why the world sucks.

Also headcanon some neurodivergent tendencies cus they say “way too much” about. A lot of stereotype stuff like foods, going outside, social interactions, has special and fixed interests, struggles to socialize, prefers lots of decompression time etc
Dot from pokemon Horizons is just a Pokesuiter with social anxiety and shut in tendencies.
