Trump has had a weird but authoritative hold on US conservatives. There are ideological actors making moves to succeed him and these threads give an insightful perspective on at least one of those groups.
MTG's actions tell us that powerful players in groups 1) and 4) have just declared war on groups 2) and 3). What do the former groups have in common? Whiteness. They have used racism to gain that foothold and they are only going to ramp this up to maintain. bsky.app/profile/gwen...
I cannot overemphasize that Marjorie Taylor Greene, Carlson, and Fuentes see a 2028 path to victory that involves building an isolationist populist coalition that traffics heavily in antisemitism and exploits existing negative sentiment against Israel.
