Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

1) The admin has been planning mass firings to begin in October since February
2) The work necessary to carry out mass firings is illegal during a shutdown, violating the Antideficiency Act, which carries a criminal penalty

FYI: The RIF term has been widely used in the tech sector (when layoffs occur) for probably 20 years. It wouldn’t surprise me if Musk or his DOGE henchmen got Vought excited about that moniker. Vought probably thinks he’s cool now ?

People forget this but the early investigations into Trump - the Comey hearings, Mueller - were launched by Republicans, including his own appointees. Now, eight years later, those appointees are using the federal government as a weapon against those same people. We have fallen very very far.

Jeff Sessions was the first senator to endorse Trump. He also refused himself from the Russia investigation which led to the appointment of a Robert Mueller as special prosecutor!

We havent only come a long way since Reagan, we have come a long way from Trumps first term, categorically so.
