the picture of the stuffed animal sticking out of the glove compartment just inches away from the blood spattered dashboard is gonna be one of those images that haunts me forever. even when your whole job is looking at the horrors on purpose and you get good at forgetting, some things are seared in.

I foolishly watched the Daniel Pearl video way back at the dawn of the millennium. I still have nightmares about it sometimes. Seeing these images is, maybe, less shocking but no less horrifying.
The image of the blood-soaked airbag next to the glove compartment overflowing with stuffed animals is going to stick with me for a very long time.

periodically I'll see a backlash that goes a little too far or seems kinda unfair. i never say anything because i think we need to be kinda unhinged and zealous in our response to this shit. I'd take an honest-to-God crusade against this stuff over letting it proliferate.
