Each mayor has to pedestrianize one street for every point scored by the opposing team.
I just want both teams’ urbanist mayors @wutrain.bsky.social & @mayorofseattle.bsky.social to make some sort of sweet transit oriented bet on the Super Bowl. Winner gets a lifetime CharlieCard or ORCA Card?
I’m not the biggest sports fan but it would be nice if the Seahawks could give Mayor Wilson a Super Bowl win right out of the gate.

Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.

No one can be watching this Davos speech and reach any conclusion but that the President of the United States is mentally disturbed and that something is deeply wrong with him. This is both embarrassing and extremely dangerous.

Well, there's at least one member of the King County Council thinking about the future of RapidRide and the fact that we've gotten much slower at delivering transit upgrades intended to increase frequency, speed, and reliability.

Seattle Fire Code has its own provisions for fixed guideway transit which are more restrictive than NFPA 130

For example, it doesn't allow escalators & elevators to count toward egress capacity under any circumstance, and enclosed emergency exists must provide at least 50% of egress capacity

“I don’t feel as though fate looks upon you often, and when it does, you better be ready to seize the opportunity,” said TJ Sabula, the UAW worker who heckled President Trump and who Trump flipped off and cursed at. “And today I think I did that.”

Trump makes obscene gesture, mouths expletive at Detroit factory heckler
A cellphone video captured Trump twice mouthing “f--- you” and raising his middle finger toward a line worker shouting at him inside the Ford factory.

Absolutely insane that my life has become texting with local church pastors to try and find a safe place to hold an emergency meeting for parents at my kid’s’ preschool to figure out how to respond to the federal government kidnapping neighbors.

TBH I'm not sure there would still be a RapidRide program if Claudia Balducci hadn't been on the county council after 2020.
Girmay Zahilay promises to fast track the RapidRide R if elected Executive, which is otherwise currently set to be delivered in 2032 or later.
My guy Girmay doesn’t only take the bus, he wants to work with me to make them faster and more reliable! Grateful for his partnership on this to deliver on better transit service!

My sincere hope for the Mariners is that every move they make from now to Opening Day is marked by new ambition. You just got your teeth kicked in, but you were a bad pitching change away from your first World Series, and in a year when much of your rotation was banged up. Go get better.

Transit safety isn’t optional, it’s a necessity.

This week, CM Balducci led a Transit Safety Report briefing—a blueprint built with operators, safety experts, & community leaders.

Now it's time to turn these recommendations into action.

E-bike sales are booming, providing a clean form of transportation that also improves public health. Yet cities remain committed to cars.
