By over the air I mean broadcast TV you can pick up with an HD antenna. I can get citytv, ctv, cbc, global, yes and omni here in the community of Abbeydale in Calgary perfectly clearly with a simple HD antenna. Antennas are cheap a decent one should run about $50.00

That's unfortunate we get it over the air in the bigger cities like Calgary. Its the FOX broadcast but it would be better than nothing. Its my back up plan if the cable goes out.
