A reminder that bringing shitty posts over from That Fascist Site to be performatively angry about them here is a choice you don't have to make! You can just leave them there! There is so much else to be legitimately angry about! You will not lack for content!

Of course women don't like the Cybertruck.

Women only want one thing, and it's donkeys carrying lambs up the Italian Alps in special pouches.

We're not supposed to know what goes on at the bottom of the ocean. I saw this thing that looked like a carrier bag full of eyes holding an umbrella. That's nobody's business

This. But also I think a lot of us thought:

"Ha! Once the smart people ("engineers") are in charge things will be better."

Turned out in all instances either:

a) the Musks of this world, who THINK they're smart, will be in charge
b) the engineers are no better.
The flaw of Dilbert is that we read it as a commentary on how banal these jobs were, and the kind of inane management for management's sake they produced, and assumed that was the joke. But it seems like Adams thought the joke was, "I, Scott Adams, am uniquely smart enough to recognise this".

The creation of CSAM on X is unrelated to whether children use the site or not. So what Badenoch appears to be arguing is that only adults should be allowed to look at CSAM. She’s also implying that that it’s rather judgy and illiberal of the govt to “not like” a CSAM generator

'Escalate,' as in "tensions escalate," comes from the word 'escalator.'

It first appeared in print in 1944.

'Escalator' originated as a trademarked term for the Otis Elevator Company's moving staircase and was demonstrated at the Paris Exposition in 1900.
