Just a weird neurodivergent lefty nerd trying to be a decent human being and make, modify & fix things. What kinda things? More or less anything. Art, models, games, cars, society. You know, things. He/him/his (mostly).

Oh wow, 200 followers! Hi!

I like to make, fix & modify things.

I'm gonna be a posting lot of #Warhammer, #BattlefleetGothic and #Gaslands stuff but I hope you'll come along for the ride when I do my #sculpting, #art and #automotive works too!

Bit of a #Nerdling. LGBTQIA+ safe, far as I can be.

Space Wolves! Another gem in the #PrideOnParade library is this squad of Wolves. I think the "Sergeant" is a 1993 Long Fang, while the other sculpts are both from the '93 Blood Claw box? If one of you #Nerdlings would like to paint a piece of 40K history, let me know!

I don't know if I'd survive another build like this lol
Get ready folks! It's gonna be a big one this month!
One day left. Get on with it you delightful weirdos

As a neurodivergent person with severe burnout-related executive dysfunction issues I can't tell you how much my life would be improved if I could afford a takeaway meal once or twice a month.
I am extremely right-handed but I have learned via the magic of tendon injuries to use a mouse with either hand.

I'm ambidextrous, but only for mice.
Joe's been a superstar to rugby nerds for a while and it's honestly pretty cool to see him win more people over on a more mainstream bit of media even as someone who doesn't watch it myself :) He's always been one of the most down-to-earth players on any kind of football pitch.
Yeah. I figured out where I should have put (thing I didn't know how to fit) this morning, and there should probably be (additional detail) on the (place) but I really needed to stop & give myself some distance.

Might go back to it later sometime. Need to use my brain for something else right now.
I mean, same.

Everything from "there's more I could have done" to "these photos are shit" looping through my head :D
I haven't the slightest doubt.
Oh wow, check this out :) Hrefna's one of my favourite painters and this is an absolute boss of a job on a Marine whose body was probably cast in the late 90s- it's got real character and the Ace Pride colour scheme is so, so good :)
I’ve been busy and also feeling very meh the last few weeks/months, but that Termagant mod I did last week got me back into painting! Here’s Ace the Veteran, for the project @prideonparade.bsky.social

Part of me wants to believe it's specifically in the theatre tradition of specifically saying you're hoping for the opposite of what you actually want so as not to tempt fate (i.e. "break a leg" etc) but the opposite is unfortunately more believable in a lot of ways :/
Love to see more people doing original sculpts :)

That pistolier is such a characterful pose too!
And two more kitbashes, inspired by The Surge 2.
Both based on my own sculpts.

It's a lesson men can learn, but most of us take a long time to realise that it's true of us as much as it is anything else.

Anyway I might be wrong, I guess, but that's how it looks to me.
What that meant was, while ostensibly "better" tanks were in the field, a unit that had, say 20 Tigers could reliably field maybe 5 on any given day: Cromwells, 15 or so. Shermans, it was a bad day if all 20 didn't show up.

And a decent tank that's *there* is better than 15 great tanks that aren't.
The Sherman wasn't the best at anything in particular- the Tiger had more armour and a better gun, the Cromwell was faster, the T-34 cheaper to make- but it could do pretty much everything a tank needed to and it was more *reliable* than any of them, with unmatched crew comfort & ergonomics.
If you want to explain this to a MAN, you might start with a military analogy (because MEN like those). A good example is the 2nd world war, and the Sherman tank.
it's not necessary to be perfect at everything- it's more important to be *there,* in whatever capacity you have available, and to learn how to balance those things instead of pursuing smaller and smaller objectives more and more single-mindedly.
What I mean by that is, you ask for a provider and a MAN thinks you're asking for a six figure salary and an eight-figure bank account. You ask for emotional availability and a MAN thinks you're asking for a literal psychotherapist who will cry on command. Men are often incapable of grasping that
I think the problem with this is that there's a conflict with what you actually want and the way the patriachially-conditioned male brain percieves what you want.

In short, it's toxic masculinity poisoning the well again.

What I mean by that is that we as "men" are trained to think in absolutes.
I'm still not sure whether the pictures do the build full justice. I have MUCH higher resolution versions of the 3rd and 4th (particularly the 3rd) pics but I didn't want to break anyone's internet connection.
That actually looks amazing already :) Seriously nice work!
Cool, thanks.

Also good grief no. I need a break, if nothing else because this project has hit my house in much the same manner as a small bomb.
Hopefully you've got my email and all is OK?

Struggling to know what to do with myself today.

I learned today that the following items have never been shoplifted.

Food
Baby formula
Nappies
Sanitary products

Apparently some people think they might have seen it happen sometimes but they absolutely did not.
Yeah, similar here tbh. One of the most intense autistic hyperfocus events I can remember having.

I need to catch up on my housework, go food shopping, finish rearranging my desk, but first I need to find a way to calm the fuck down.

Think I'll start with a cup of tea and a cheese sandwich.
