I'm a chronic lurker who periodically surfaces to make a few posts or stupid comments before fading back into the abyss, so responses could take anywhere from 1–3 business days to 4 months. Interests include but not limited to: video games, books, rambling about my wips, motorcycles, and whatever.

McLellan He was slumped in his chair, almost asleep; tablet computer hanging loose in one hand when the Rec chimed. Its smug voice stirred him; “Captain McLellan, please report to med-bay for insurance screening.” Setting the tablet down on the arm of the chair, he stretched out before standing. He wobbled as a wave of dizziness passed. “Rec, do we have results in for the crew?” He scratched leisurely at his head and wiped away a little sweat gathered on his brow. “Yes Captain. All crew physiological and psychological testing is complete. Results are satisfactory.” He paused. “Satisfactory as in, no virus?” “Correct Captain. And within expected parameters given the extended duration of the mission.” McLellan nodded to himself. “So nobody’s going nuts. That’s good. Rec could you turn up the conditioning? It's still hot in here from earlier.” “Yes Captain.” Leaving the Bridge, he leisurely tapped the plaque. He stepped out into the relief of the cool, dimly lit corridor and turned for the elevator. With a tap, the lift started grinding its way up the decks. He winced as he felt a little indigestion annoy his chest
