Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.
SHOCK POLL:
NIGEL FARAGE WILL BE PM TOMORROW
IN an amazing poll conducted
by The Pointless Polling Company, it was revealed that voters' intentions
may well change over the next three and a half years and at present it's 100 percent impossible to guess what the next government might look like.
However, 99 percent of journalists
agree that it would be much more fun if we had an election tomorrow and everybody resigned and everything was chaos and Farage had a go at being PM, just for the hell of it, because it was so much fun when
Brexit happened and then the government kept falling every five minutes and we could write endless pieces about (cont. p94)

So many of us can recognise this circus complete with clowns. As you say Ed, msm are complicit in ignoring where the hard work is being done in this process. Instead, concentrating on the 'stars' who emerge complete with sunglasses, from American limo 's.

One of the problems I found when I lectured at university was the transition from school approach where pupils were taught, to university approach where and you were directed to a study area, leaving the choice as to whether and how much you heeded that advice up to you. Thus the term 'students'

And students. On this theme 'students' used to be called pupils. Americanisation continues apace.

Sam Coates loves drama. Just wish he had a passing interest in politics.
A gossip columnist and purveyor of tittle tattle.

So so sad. Admired the coroner for going as far as she could in attributing blame. We all need protecting from the views of these idiots in the literal sense of the word

I am curiously happy about this, I suspect she couldn't care less. Whereas the hacks at the DM are awake all night hoping she does

We flounced out of the EU on the say-so of politicians who lied to us. And what a total shitshow that’s turned out to be. The polar opposite of what they promised. Now the call to flounce out of the ECHR. By the same people. Telling the same lies. Has the country been kicked in the head by a horse?

It’s all coming together. The downfall of a Russian asset, Nigel Farage, is out there ticking away. Thanks @nw_nicholas for getting the ball rolling.

Couldn’t happen to a better traitor. Hope he brings the sorry lot of Reform MPs and Councillors down with him.

Barely 20, Reform UK’s Doncaster councillor Isaiah-John Reasbeck is backpedalling after calling Bradford an “Islamic shthole” and saying people should be “fcking terrified” of Islam. He now claims he was 18 and “not even looking at the council.” #ukpolitics

You may not be sure, most of the rest of us labour supporters are completely sure why it is being described in this way.

Farage’s Reform UK is wrapped in a global web of dodgy companies, properties, and family-linked shareholders - from London to Tortola, Canada, France, Iran, Kazakhstan. Cash flows through shell firms while Farage grins for bought journos. Brexit hype, money laundering, zero accountability.
