eXistenZ is a movie that anyone working in games should watch. Prescient in a lot of ways, it's also a story about a woman game designer who is getting chased by men who don't like how she designs games. (Yes, really.)
Man, was not expecting to feel so heard and seen in 2026 by the 1999 film, eXistenZ, as a game developer. These quotes from David Cronenberg in particular are wild.

Guess what David, you were right 😶‍🌫️

This is brilliant and timely but also interesting. The play 'Sir Thomas Moore' was actually by Anthony Munday and Henry Chettle but was later revised by other writers, including this bravura section attributed (with some evidence) to Shakespeare. An early example of script doctoring.
Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.
