I completed a PhD in Physics at MIT in '03. Even when the intensity seemed to be off-scale, there was one piece that I never doubted: the place had integrity, purpose, and passion.

It's clear the culture and drive of MIT remains.

Cute old truck at the Everett waterfront. I’ve been walking the dogs away from home because the fall agritourism traffic is making our roads impossible, even with their current management practices. It’s a nice change of scenery for me.

I just hope this stuff infiltrates the platforms where these lies are breeding. There are millions of Americans who immediately embrace them as truth. Facts won’t change their minds, but ridicule might. No one wants to look dumb.

I feel like a broken record, but I have to keep saying it over and over again: a farmer bailout won’t do much of anything because the market is gone. There will be no incentive to plant next year.

The bailout will help payoff farmer debt to the banks. That’s all.

That’s lovely. A few homes of people privileged enough to have a home, solar panels, and sophisticated equipment will be carbon neutral. The rest of the nonstop Sora slop and error prone Gen AI will suck water out of aquifers, strain electrical grids, and pollute already underserved communities.
