THE GIRL WHO LEAPT THROUGH TIME (1983) is a different kind of time travel tale, rife with teen drama and melancholy, told in a way only HAUSU (1977) auteur Nobuhiko Ōbayashi could.

Here's our look at it!

Tatsuya Nakadai was a true legend and one of the last of his kind.

Obviously a standout among Kurosawa and Kobayashi's casts, but he also really tore up the screen as the lead, the villain, and occasionally both — like in Kihachi Okamoto's SWORD OF DOOM (1966).

Rest easy, king

I’m asking everyone to vote for a new Mayor by Tuesday and rank all 3 of Omar Fateh, Dewayne Davis, and Jazz Hampton in whichever order you prefer. I’ve worked at City Hall for the last 4 years and from my personal experiences I believe the City desperately needs a new mayor.

Final report of the commercial starship Nostromo, 3rd officer reporting. The other members of the crew are dead. Cargo, ship destroyed. I should reach the frontier in about 6 weeks. With a little luck the network will pick me up. This is Cody, last survivor of the Nostromo, signing off. Come on, cat

our (my) long (relatively) national (local) nightmare (nightmare) is over (almost)
Good news: we’re almost done with construction on Hennepin Avenue South. Local businesses patiently endured the dust and detours, and now they need our support. For everything from sunrise coffee to late-night snacks – and a massage or oil change in between – Uptown is ready to welcome you back!

Timelessly spooky, hopelessly terrifying, and maybe truly evil — no Halloween is complete without THE EXORCIST (1973).

We dug deep on Friedkin's classic in episode 354 (with a special appearance by @metallicaisrad.bsky.social)!

Honestly we'd be a much better world if all art from over fifty years ago were just available for free instead of locked behind pay-to-watch streamers, overpriced home video releases, or just non-existent beyond piracy. Public domain takes too long and copyright owners usually suck.
After leaving HBO Max earlier this year, ‘Looney Tunes’ is a hit on Tubi, the company says, and popular across generations. It should be a model for every classic cartoons trapped in streaming limbo.
