Only one night in and this has already led me to realize an unspoken rule of English pronunciation (and thus, in a writing system that has a schwa, English spelling): we generally (not universally) avoid pairing schwas across a glottal stop. We usually change the pronunciation of the first schwa.
Decided to start keeping my journal in my own slightly-modified version of #futhorc #runes for #dysgraphia reasons and also my vehement hatred of #English nonsense spelling in the Roman alphabet. Should help me get better at straight lines.

Doubly infuriating since the only cogent argument against scrapping it has always been “but what if the other side uses the lack of the filibuster against us” but it doesn’t fucking matter when you hand them everything they want to protect said filibuster

Important to understand this. There's a reasonable chance that your Dem Senator who voted against it and is acting mad now was in on the play. It's the same reason why they scheduled the surrender for AFTER the election this week. They didn't want people pissed at Dems right before an election.
