The DC shooting story is really getting to me because we literally trained this man as a child soldier for a death squad in a forever war and Stephen Miller et al want to blame it on other cultures? It's our culture, American culture, that killed that woman.

It's just my girlfriend and I this Thanksgiving, so I got a vegan meal for two catered from Whole Foods. I have to say drunkenly dunking a frozen zucchini into boiling oil is not as satisfying as dunking a frozen turkey.
I guess mixed relationships have to forge their own new traditions together.

Since I also see people from the United States use it to describe ourselves I assumed it was just due to limited character space. It’s supposed to be an insult?
if you’re intentionally trying to irritate people from the U.S. with the term “USian,” as some people who use it clearly seem to be doing, then it seems rather silly to then act shocked and appalled when people from the U.S. do in fact get irritated by it

I saw Kelly on Maddow and felt they both struck the right note of serious alarm while Kelly was resolutely refusing to be intimidated. Later that night I got a fundraising text from Kelly (WTF ?!?) and it erased all my good feelings about him. Fundraising off a call for your execution is obscene.

They lied about it. All of it. A thug cop shot an unarmed woman five times without justification, boasted about it to his colleagues, and then this administration tried cover it all up by arresting her and charging her with felonies.
Absolutely incredible; after shooting Marimar Martinez 5 times and arresting her on claims that she rammed them and pulled a gun, prosecutors have now moved to dismiss ALL criminal charges against her and her codefendant.
New: the govt has moved to dismiss its assault case against Marimar Martinez and Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz, two people accused of "box[ing] in" a Border Patrol vehicle in Chicago on Oct. 4.
