Our wholesale price is pretty much aligned with Victoria. It's all linked in with the National Energy Market. The current government intended to delink us, but it hasn't happened, and I doubt it will. The government has said delinking will affect business investment, Marinus Link, blah blah.

I was appalled to see this morning that Tasmania, with Hydro, is so high for power bills. It is above some other states which demonstrates to me that the Liberal government cannot manage the assets and ensuing prices. This will be a nightmare with the interest payments on the stadium costs.

One of the most egregious arguments is that the stadium will fulfil the dreams and aspirations of young Tasmanians and keep them in the state. Tasmania has a 50% illiteracy rate. 50% in 2025. How about ensuring young Tasmanians leave school literate & numerate. That will fulfil more dreams. #politas

There is $1 million budgeted for the legal assistance needed for NACC to properly reconsider the Robodebt referrals - this funding ends in February 2026 and I hope for all of us that means there will be answers and accountability at this time (6+ years after Robodebt ended).
