Nigel Farage currently railing against Parliament being full of "professional politicians".

He founded UKIP in 1993 and was first elected as an MEP in 1999, twenty-six years ago. Less than 5% of current MPs (31 to be precise) have a longer career in politics than Farage. ~AA

Europe’s gas prices are still far above the U.S.

Sept 2025: $11.1 vs $3.0 per MMBtu — nearly 4× higher.

Even before the crisis, Europe paid more.

The only lasting fix? Less gas, more renewable energy, more efficiency and more clean electrification. ⚡️
It's insane our NHS isn't using Linux

www.theregister.com/2025/10/31/n...

We shouldn't be reliant on proprietary software. An organisation as large as the NHS could roll it's own Linux distro (and share it with schools and the rest of the civil service)

Be careful to not have a little more time for the Daily Mail
At last, they want the same thing as me - to stop people like them
It's a fairly strong message
Are you seriously suggesting that a Labour Chancellor is obliged to represent the interests of you and you alone?

Or, alternatively...

Are you seriously suggesting that a Labour Chancellor prioritising the economy doesn't benefit you?

None of these questions are terribly productive
She's the Chancellor of the Exchequer

Not everyone in government represents the same interests
There are a lot of people telling her what to do, but the markets like her so she must be good at her job

Maybe people should listen to her
It's weird Auntie would say that it's not significant without whips. If anything, that seems more scientific
That's actually my post that's missing the punctuation. I still understood it though

Do you need help with this app?
You honestly want your followers to see you argue with me over A Christmas Story when you think I was discussing Nightmare Before Christmas‽

Don't worry - reading comprehension is hard!
I hope you didn't skip the comment I replied to even though you are fighting over it without knowing what "it" refers to
I said the second two acts of Nightmare Before Christmas is not a movie. They're not. They're the last hour of a movie

It's not clear to me what you think I'm saying. We actually agree on all the points you just made, so there's clearly something you've not understood

I think we're done 👍 good day

Things UK Media won't tell you:
Labour's Bus Services Bill became law today.
- No more sudden cuts to crucial bus routes
- Councils can identify vital routes, so operators can't change them easily
- More Govt funding
- Councils can run bus services

The Bus Services Act will make it easier for local leaders to take control of their buses and put passengers first.

Plenty of movies establish their characters while still being Christmas movies. All of them in fact!

I'm actually not sure what you read into my last post to have come up with that
I'm not a Christian so I might be ignorant of some details, but I don't think the wise men wanted to kill Mary
A journey to find a mother is the original Christmas story 🧝🧝‍♀️🧝‍♂️⭐🤱 !

Finding family (neither word needs to be literal. We're discussing plot, not story) has everything to do with Christmas.
I suppose there's an argument for saying the second two acts of Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas story.

The second two acts alone are not a movie, but I enjoy that the story at least can be thought of that way!
