I mean I'd love to believe that as well. I'd love to believe lots of things. However, the US govt is killing it's citizens in the street, just arrested members of the press & is violating court orders daily. Fascism is in the White House.

I'll never forget watching the explosion on the TV they wheeled into our classroom to watch the astronaut teacher. I remember coming home to tell my mom about the explosion. She was ironing in front of the TV with the news report on, my baby brother asleep in the playpen. Clear as day.

And it never used to be like this. TikTok was often where I heard of events first. They've narrowed the view massively to US only and the censorship is crazy. Which was the whole point of the ban. It was never about China, it was about controlling the American people.
It’s weird being on TikTok during a big event and you catch the moment when they start scrubbing videos. My FYP was hella topical and now it’s suddenly facebooks greatest hits of random internet content and you can’t access comments.
