IF you have a press conference and make a statement, then when asked about the statements contradict yourself and then nuke the press conference then you were lying.

The later you industrialise, the more recent a generation of technology you start with; Eastern Europe skipped a lot of copper networking and went straight to mobile networks in the 90s.

Tonight’s movies.

Now you see me: Now you don’t 2025

Yeah. It was what it was.

Fackham Hall. The writers do not like JRR Tolkien but they really fucking hate Julian Fellows.

I see Twumps comments about NATO forces in Afghanistan are going over especially badly in the UK.

Seems to have taken US trolls and bots a little by surprise over in other places. They still don’t have talking points out.

This is the bit I struggle with.

Yes the US spent a lot on being #1. It’s not like it hasn’t come with perks.
Can’t be emphasized enough that the US-led global order has been to US advantage.

Trump’s complaint is basically: You accepting that we’re No. 1, with international institutions and conventions tilted in our favor—because you benefit from it too—was really unfair to us, let’s make it worse for all.

But this is _leaving_?
New— An American citizen boarding flight from Boston to Lisbon just now told me after showing boarding pass, every passenger stopped on jetway by two ICE agents demanding to take their photo. When passenger asked why, ICE threatened to detain them. If they said no photo, couldn't board/TBD detained.

Of course the most likely result is Trump claims that Denmark has given him permission to build a new base and the loons will say ‘masterful stroke sir!’ Without noticing that that is the status quo.

One of the things the last few days has taught me is that a non-trivial number of Americans seem to genuinely believe everybody stationed on a US base is a combat soldier…

I can’t help but feel that the fact they’re not might come as a shock to some people if things get worse.

Lots of things can be true at the same time.

It can be true that the US has an amazing military that has a LOT of technology at it's disposal. However, it can be also true that a LOT of that technology has never actually been tested properly in battle conditions against peers.

This site is fascinating.

There are areas where the US military strength v the EU is off the chart but it’s much closer than I thought.

A public service announcement for Seattle. This turn here? This one by Ike’s pot shop?

That is not a turn right on red and wasn’t before they started banning them. It should be obvious from the location of the fucking lights.

I rather liked The Copenhagen Test. Then again

There’s a scene involving Saul Rubinek having to keep people distracted at a table with a couple of bottles of port for an afternoon and can I say I would have no issue listening to Saul Rubinek tell anecdotes over port for as long as he likes.
