She is supposed to be the intellectual of the institute. I think it’s fairly obvious in this quote that she never practised law. Something that could be written but never operate in the world in practice.
Maria Steen, she of the Holy Handbag, argues in the Times that we should introduce a form of marriage with "no possibility of divorce." Maybe she is too young to remember that we already tried this. It ended very badly for some - that's why we introduced divorce.

I know he’s unstable and idiotic but Musk’s “argument” fails on almost every element. Leaving aside the obvious racism and white nationalism, the first sentence that a nation requires a common culture to survive is wrong - even before getting to the metrics for common, culture, and survive. 1/
We must speak plainly about the agenda Elon Musk & other MAGA leaders are pushing. It’s white nationalism.

There’s no room for Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Native, Jewish or all other Americans in Musk’s monocultural vision.

Multiculturalism is superior. We can’t allow Musk & others to end it.

Maria Steen was on RTÉ Radio 1, the country’s most listened to radio station, this morning lamenting the lack of conservative voices in our national media.

She then read from an article by Brenda Power, published in the most widely read national newspaper.

Make it make sense!

And haven't for years.

WATCH: Seriously, if you’re following ANY bike-lane debate, you HAVE TO WATCH this news story. You actually can’t make this up. Ford claims without evidence that bike-lanes are bad for small business, and THE ACTUAL BUSINESS ASSOCIATION obliterates him with data.

Safe bike-lanes mean business.
Annex businesses tell Ford to back off Bloor bike lanes
Stores in the Annex say the Bloor bike lanes have been a big boost to business. As Michelle Mackey reports, the neighborhood's BIA wants the province to back off its new bill that could see the lanes ...

The Social Democrats are proposing a state construction company. “Then they tell us our plans are too radical” says Holly Cairns. So radical Labour proposed this in the 2024 election. I don’t think it’s the radicalness of the SDs plans that’s the problem. #SpeirGorm #Housing
