with how much folks I follow in games media always harp on games succeeding and failing in terms of providing accessibility options, it's quite disheartening to see basically all of them not even care enough privately to put alt text into their posts online. like, there's no excuse really.

I've had this promo postcard from when Dawson's Creek first premiered for 28 years. Very hard to believe James Van Der Beek is gone now. He's an absolute 90s icon who always had a great sense of humor about himself and his image. Fuck Cancer and RIP to him.

I have rants about the "transcends the genre" / "elevates the genre," I do hope to have at least some version of that in BSG book.
TV is made by nerds, who love many genres. Execs, IMO, generally think litfic adaptations = "good," anything not litfic is "probably trash." A lifetime of ARGH ensues.

Every so often I hear of indie studios working without version control systems, and I am shocked and appalled. This is seriously dangerous and you should stop immediately and get your shit sorted. Perforce or GitHub are right there, they're free for small teams, go use them NOW.
