#totp SCTV were obsessed with his song Melody of Love which is a reworking of the same schlager song Peters and Lee anglicised as Don't Stay Away Too Long. He didn't like the lyrics so wrote his own partly Polish ones.

That's my uncle. He doesn't believe I have long covid.

It almost feels like a British show (mostly shot at Pinewood, but you'll have scenes shot in England set in Canada (the presence of Boa a tipoff), then scenes shot in Canada set in England, or scenes shot in Norway set in England)

I am fascinated by the uncanniness of Canadian shows of that era. Ever seen their attempt at a miniseries, the British co-pro A Man Called Intrepid, made for NBC, with Michael York, David Niven, Barbara Hershey in brownface and plenty of Canadian-based actors and yer Shane Rimmers and Bruce Boas

I realise there are more insightful political criticisms of Harry Potter, but Quidditch is the worst sport ever described and yet a laughably unsustainable proportion of the tiny wizard population is playing it at a professional level.
