The Supremacy Clause does not cloak federal officers with absolute immunity from state prosecutions. That’s well settled law. It should follow that states have, in their sovereign capacity, the power to investigate whether a crime occurred involving federal agents’ conduct.

Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

It's simple: the DHS bill isn't going to pass if its lawlessness isn't reined in.
Democrats sought common sense reforms in the Department of Homeland Security spending bill, but because of Republicans’ refusal to stand up to President Trump, the DHS bill is woefully inadequate to rein in the abuses of ICE. I will vote no.

Excellent piece. Though I expect Miller to continue what is mostly his role—with notable exceptions—of going on Fox to tell Republicans exactly what Donald Trump wants them to say.
It's now very clear that JD Vance is consciously taking on the role of putting a softer face on Stephen Miller's fascism. Vance is becoming chief propagandist for ICE's violent paramilitary warfare against Americans.
