I'm....not going to dunk on a postpartum mother for being an emotional, illogical wreck...I will, however, question a society that thinks the talking robot is necessary, but vaccines and professional medical personnel are not.

I appreciate that dedicated tech outlets like 404 and the verge (mostly) meet this stuff where it's at and try to seriously engage with the implications of its use while legacy outlets continue to treat it as indistinguishable from actual magic
the nyt posts this stuff like avoiding AI for 48 hours is hard and meanwhile i have literally never once intentionally used an AI program for anything ever
