I'll say it again, Art is communication.

"Create for yourself" really means "Create art that communicates who you are." And one sided communication feels terrible. Commenting on peoples art/creations can be scary, I get it. But COMMENT. COMMUNICATE. We want to hear it. I want to hear it.

Gonna go even further: don't refer to it as "consuming media" when doing this. You aren't a consumer - it's not a product. You read books. You look at art. You watch movies and/or videos. Be careful about word choice.

Reject "consume" and REJECT "CONTENT."

I'm being so real right now, learn how to engage in media as art and not a reflection of your own real life morals. consume things that make you uncomfortable and understand why it makes you uncomfortable. Don't just base yours and others morals standings on the media you consume.

I really believe we’re headed for a creative revolution.

Feels like we’re reaching an apex of creative industry jobs cutting pay/disappearing altogether, while the process for making/releasing indie comics/games/movies has never been more democratized.

They’re making it so we have nothing to lose
