Bwahaha. Oh sure, Campbell's fired the guy because of his racist comments, not because they were concerned about profits, right?

My least favourite time of the year in Vancouver really. Dreary, wet, and so so dark. Looking forward to the solstice.

All this, and another article points to these now authorized pesticides to also be applied to broccoli and potatoes.

What's even more disheartening is that these grifters causing real-life damage probably don't care about ideology or political views -- they just want the money these posts will make.
Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

People who use this technology do not want to be taught about a topic; they want the end result of having learned, without learning. I would guess for many this describes a feature, not a bug, of the technology.
Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

Many city halls are deep in budget-time. Some are pushing austerity ideologies, and are ignoring the difference between costs and cost-savers/value creators. Citizens, PAY ATTENTION, and never forget that the TRUTH about a city’s REAL aspirations isn’t found in its visions. It’s found in its budget.
