I made a mosaic of my neurodivergent brain. It’s full of beautiful flowers 🌺 😊

These issues are YET MORE reasons that masking in public during an ongoing pandemic, during collapse of healthcare systems, during an attack on public health, while fascism grows stronger, in a world where healthcare isn’t a universal right… is, in fact, the reasonable, scientific, & moral choice.

Medical racism, like medical misogyny, is a real and under-reported issue that has been stealing years and shortening lives for generations.

We have statistics and studies showing that doctors are less likely to take claims seriously when they come from black folks, from women.

It costs lives.

I’d been thinking for a while that it seems like a startling number of rappers have died in their mid-40s to mid-50s from natural causes but it didn’t really feel like an epidemic until I saw this list. 😦

as charming and whimsical as some will view this, it bears noting that absurdity—not militancy or might—are what people have chosen to repeat from the portland standoffs against ICE.

why is that?

what purpose does this serve?

The Portland Frog army has now infiltrated Tulsa, OK and they’ve made an unlikely alliance with the T-Rex infantry and Sharks on Hoverboards mercenary forces.

This is truly terrifying.

If you dive into the QP from @theflytrapmedia.com, we have lower-cost options (you can buy a piece for $2, or access our entire archives for $6.66/mo and cancel whenever you want). I know that's still more than some folks can afford, and we do have some comp subs available funded by Bog subscribers!

Amidst all the stuff about the male loneliness "epidemic" there's a serious conversation to be had about how much bigotry has been made out to be harmless until the bleeding starts. These people will not stop at harming the Other. They hate all of you. And they want to watch you suffer and die.

I frequently say you don't need to protest. You don't! There are a thousand other ways to push back on fascism if protesting doesn't feel comfortable or safe for you!

But if you CAN go, this 10/18 #NoKings thing is really a key protest to participate in. Be part of it, friends.

I know the headline everyone's running with is "erotica" but "we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues" and "we are putting personality back in ChatGPT so it will act like a friend" are diametrically opposed statements

that's the cause of most of the mental health issues

Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year
We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

“We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive…” is one of those statements that (if I were consulting on any of the ongoing or prospective lawsuits against OpenAI) I would snag as evidence of actual knowledge of the risks of their product.

For new folks, the last 6 yrs I’ve run a vape/CBD shop in TX. Tariffs, import issues, and as of September, the first of many radical statewide bans have utterly destroyed the market. I’m working on getting out and following my passion but I could use some help, either directly here or share! Cats!

Just so everyone is clear, the main issue in the Supreme Court voting rights case tomorrow is whether it's racist against white people to enforce the Voting Rights Act.

I'm dead serious. We live in incredibly stupid times.

I’m very very tired of “living in fear” being lobbed at maskwearers by people who frequently say they can’t wear one because no one else around them is.

Living in fear is ignoring science and endangering lives and your own health because you’re terrified of not fitting in.

getting people to slow down and breathe together feels like such important work right now. getting them to remember our values and our dreams, and to look at each other for strength.

i love it.

I have long believed that we should be WAY more vocal about how police and ICE constantly murder dogs, and I think this is great messaging actually.

The reality is that you can mobilize a whole lot of usually tuned-out Americans around a “someone is being mean to hecking doggos” cause.
