DC Criminal Reforms to Immediately Make
Everyone Safer (DC CRIMES) Act
This bill seeks to prohibit the D.C. Council from pursuing so-called "soft-on-crime' sentencing policy by:
• lowering the definition of "youth" from 25 to 18
• removing below mandatory minimum sentencing for youth offenders
• establishing a public website containing stats on juvenile crime
This means incarcerating young people for longer and subjecting them to public surveillance.

District of Columbia Policing Protection Act
This bill would amend current DC law to allow vehicular pursuit of a suspect fleeing in a vehicle, which was previously restricted.
Now, police officers can determine when to use a vehicle to pursue a fleeing suspect, regardless of offense or level of danger.
Vehicular pursuits are an immediate danger to everyone, including innocent bystanders.
This rollback of D.C. Law would only serve to bolster police aggression and lack of accountability.

The anti-vax elephant in the room is that if 99% of children ARE vaccinated: your child can be unvaccinated & there's no one to spread it to her.

It's exceptionalism. Non-vaccinated children REQUIRE the safety of mass vaccination.

Each new anti-vax convert destroys the illusion of that safety. 1/

A timeline of vaccine introduction, showing how it reduced deaths greatly. 1800: 450 out of 1,000 children died. By 1890, it was around 300. Vaccines and penicillin were introduced in the coming decades. By 1940, the number was 50 out of 1,000 children dying. Now it's around 10 or 20.
