I back you! Plus it keeps for ages and freezes surprisingly ok.
I have bought the 1.8kg wheel of Lindis Pass Brie when Whitestone had it on clearance a few times. No regrets.

But I’ll admit that buying two at once (for a 2 person household) was a bit of a stretch…
Zealandia trip on the cards again for sure right?
Huge news! So exciting!
The “urban” and the “non-urban” bits look quite different across the different states I suspect.

Perpetual reminder that Worksafe was set up following the recommendations of a completely independent expert Royal Commission responding to mass workplace deaths at Pike River.
Workplace Relations and Safety Minister Brooke van Velden is giving WorkSafe six months to adjust to a new way of operating, according to a version of a Cabinet paper on WorkSafe changes that was emailed to BusinessDesk.
I had a diagram that I used for talks with a kakapo as the background bird image. They are so chonky it is easy to fit a schematic diagram overlaid on them. But can’t find it on the laptop 😔

Hospital admissions remain very low for now but likely to ⬆️ in coming weeks

So it's a good time to get a booster if you're eligible - anyone over 30 whose last dose was >6 months ago can get one for free.

Covid levels have been historically low in NZ for the past 12 months but the signs are a new wave may be starting: noticeable increase in wastewater in last couple of weeks, variant with a moderate growth advantage (NB.1.8.1), uptick in cases.

The average real increase in wages falls every year from the last forecast. The wage differences now mean that the median income earner on 40 hours a week will be $978.40 worse off than forecast last year. That tax cut you got in 2023 just disappeared.

PS: bike is located an hour north of Tamaki Makaurau, and would need to be picked up on a trailer.
I don’t know much about bikes but I’m told it’s a “classic”.

It has been taking up space in the garage for so long, but dad will only part with it to someone who wants to restore it rather than for parts. So I am trying to work out how to find that person…
Hey NZ bsky peeps, do any of you know how to find anyone who would be interested in adopting and restoring a classic early 90s Honda VFR750 motorbike (in red, obviously) that has been sitting in a garage unused for ~15yrs.

Photo for attention. Actual bike is not quite so tidy.
That seems good…? Holding steady once you include pop growth? (Apart from the under12s 😔)
The reduction in government contributions seems shortsighted, but the reversal of an earlier National govt's reduction in the minimum contribution from 4% to 3% seems good, right? Though maybe not if they didn't also reverse the decision to allow employers to take their contribution out of wages...
Woop woop! However, does their consent include traffic management considerations for the BJRC Grange Hill loop on every 3rd or 4th Monday?...

And are they going to be required to polish Dominion and Valley Rd road surfaces so that they are reflective? Bit unfair if you ask me...
Boo!! 🦠 Take care, and rest up. Hope you shake it quickly.
You have two different calculators online which give different results.

www.greens.org.nz/tax_calculat... and www.greens.org.nz/taxcalculator

It is the latter that showed up when I searched.

Maybe remove the one that is out of date…?

Monash University has made many positions available specifically for young and early career researchers who would like to take some time away from the USA. These are case by case, not advertised. So if you are interested or know anyone interested have them get in contact with someone at Monash.

A reminder that, for NZ, flutracking.net is looking for more volunteers, particularly kids to turn the jagged variable small sample line into a much more reliable, steady large sample line.
