When attacks have occurred against other communities, the government has spoken out strongly and acted quickly.

First Peoples are asking why this attack against us is being treated so differently.

Here's what they should do:

This is a great article that touches on the shitty advice that Asexuals are always given when the topic of dating comes up.
The latest thing I wrote, because I saw the Dear Abby column syndicated in magazines I read online via my local library.

I was told recently I have different priorities cause I'm just a college student and don't have kids like they do... Which isn't true... I don't have different priorities because I don’t have kids.

I just refuse to stop caring at the edge of my own family.

I finally got the MRI results back from last week.

Apparently, I have "severe tenosynovitis." Which I think is fancy talk for inflamed and swollen tendon.

It explains why my finger has been swollen and painful for 3+ weeks.

Probably it was a thorn and not a bee sting.

Aboriginal people across the continent have been shouting out the hypocrisy of the media and govt for not talking about the explosive device thrown into a group of Invasion Day protesters in Boorloo/Perth. 1st I heard about it was from Tarneen Onus Browne. Politicians still haven’t brought it up.

I got to flirt with my favourite research scientist today.

She does aerial acrobatics. I told her that next time she performs in a showcase, she should send me an invite.

How are the folks in the Southern states coping with the temperatures this week?

I hope everyone is doing okay.

I hope you have whatever mitigation strategies in place to keep cool.

Remember to stay hydrated and to check in on your oldies.

Nicholls doesn’t care about evidence. He’s pushing this anti-trans agenda to appeal to the far right.

Now it’s up to us.

Together we need to organise in our communities across the continent to win a trans health system that works for our community.

I agree that neither the humanities nor STEM are more important or pure or whatever than the other: the thing is that we need BALANCE between the two poles, and we have very much lost that in modern U.S. society today.

I once accused my mum of having an arty-farty humanities degree. She never let me forget it.

I wish she were still around, I would apologise to her profusely.
Indeed, I think a core part of our problem right now is that people with humanities degrees and humanities jobs have felt obligated to constantly *apologize* for it for a long time now.

Whenever shit gets bad (fascism/terrorism/climate change/natural disasters), I tend to go quiet.

Partly so the important voices aren't drowned out, and partly because my petty problems don't compare.

Using those words on here is also a form of circumventing people's muted terms. Folks mute things for a variety of reasons including managing their trauma.

Say the word you mean.
Now that TikTok has changed ownership in the U.S., it's as good a time as ever to again say how much I truly hate algospeak euphemisms like "unalived" and whatnot. I wish people would knock that off.

*sighs* I deleted TikTok.

I am not happy about it. I got a lot of information about Autism and Disability communities from there.

I'm not convinced that any platform is "safe," but I guess some are clearly unsafer than others.
