Like, my most mild opinion that is apparently beyond the pale and veering into rabid Bolshevism these days is you should be able to get an affordable bus or train to a neighbouring town or village, anywhere in the country.

Alas! It is 31 years since the world was deprived of one of its more colourful culinary characters: Phyllis Nan Sortain Pechey – better known as double bigamist, child abandoner, amphetamine user, dangerous driver, and celebrity cook Fanny Cradock

Brilliant. Thank you for your service.
Well, it’s the day after Wallace and Gromit rode again – and it’s the 31st anniversary of the first appearance of the greatest sound effect in the history of the motion picture, so here’s the story of how (I found out how) they made it...

Minder on the Orient Express is currently being shown on ITV4. A feature length 1985 TV movie, I've never even heard of this. It looks both brilliant and terrible and the same time.

While I was in prison, I was the food procurement clerk. It was my job to work with the first cook to design the daily food menu and then make sure the men were fed on a budget of $2.60 per person per day.

How I helped make the best Christmas prison meal, a thread.

We found out about the fire when a customer came in, ordered 3 pints of Caffreys, then - as I handed them to him & asked for payment - said 'do you know the roof's on fire?' The roof was thatched. He walked into a burning pub for a Xmas pint. There'll always be an England.
