A reminder that the only single reason for something like this is eugenicist thinking, and that they not only don't care that people will die, but they want them to

My whole life, advocating war has been fed to me as “the adult position,” akin to drinking your coffee black or reading the business section of the newspaper. Let’s be very clear — war is the childish nonsense of impulsive destructive idiots playing baby-brained video games with real human lives.

This is a dark day in American history

Whatever happens now, we absolutely cannot allow Trump's refusal to seek Congressional authorization for what appears to be a large scale military attack on another country vanish from the media discussion, which already appears to be happening.

Watching Trump speak and justify why the US is entitled to invade another country and kidnap the president makes me think that when we started talking about the “post-truth” era, we had no idea of how deeply post-truth it’d become.

Perception of reality is now random and optional.

"Maduro is a brutal authoritarian dictator," I wisely intone, as the corrupt demented paedophile US President violating Constitutional Law while operating a gestapo and concentration camps illegally arrests a foreign leader on charges which read like they were written on a paper placemat in crayon.

If your position is that regime change should be forced on countries where the president does not respect democratic norms and regularly kidnaps opponents using an officially sanctioned paramiliatary, have I got news for you about your position on the United States

-mRNA vaccine to treat age-related vision loss
-cure for Alzheimer's and a treatment to reverse cognitive damage
-Japanese scientists working on a way to regrow teeth

I'm in awe. What a time to be alive. 🤩

My take on the MetroCard: Iconic name, iconic logo, flawed product but at least it introduced cross-agency compatibility

My take on OMNY: Crap name, crap logo, promising product that has consistently failed to deliver on its promised functionality while also rolling back cross-agency compatibility
My take on the MetroCard: iconic name, iconic logo, crap product. My take on OMNY: crap name, crap logo, good product that will only get better.
Doing Metrocard Nostalgia is a great example of the city at its most navel-gazing. It was a flimsy piece of shit that didn’t work 30% of the time that you could fully break if you forgot it in your front pocket. Good riddance, I haven’t touched one in almost half a decade.

I spent the last two years shooting with Sony, and I can’t say anything terrible about it.

Undoubtably, it’s the most dependable camera system I’ve ever used. There is some merit to saying their camera feels soulless.

But given how precise and reliable the system is, I can’t say that’s a flaw.
