So, like, this is more a thread for my own brain to remind me to try and do something about being on here and seeing this all the time because it’s very obvious at this point that it’s hardly going to stop pissing me off in the next fifty billion years and it is so prevalent for some reason.

But sweet Pete in a cube, it is not good for me to be exposed to this stuff these days and reminds me why I had to disconnect from the last place. I just cannot deal with blaming the people on the receiving end in the slightest anymore. Just completely spent on it now.

I know I’ve always been especially sensitive to this stuff, ”you just do this not this” without the consideration for why people are doing this in the first place and the amount of problems to step through and solve for someone to get there is always going to do me in. That’s my brain for you.

it’s obviously not a new thing, it’s always there alongside the pull your bootstraps up lot (who thankfully seem to have stayed largely over on the hellbird) but my patience with it in the year of our Molyneux twenty twenty and a five is completely exhausted. I just end up wanting to shake people.

Like, yesterday’s “it’s not shit it’s the new meta” dude is fully binable, but nearly every single damn time some discourse bubbles up, I get to read someone giving it “devs are too focused on looking at numbers” or something, as though if they stopped doing that, we could all have nice things.

But one of the big things driving me spare on this damn hellsite with its unending damn videogame discourse repeat schedule is, even compared to the hellbird, I keep ending up reading a whole load more stuff blaming people for doing what they need to do in order to survive and it does me in.

I should note that I haven’t looked and haven’t been paying attention because I’m too busy wondering how many programs it’s possible for a cat, who is not even my cat, to open with their backside parked on a keyboard (so far: loads) so this has nothing to do with today or anything, just lightbulbed.

Reader, it turned out giving Rob free access to people who lack compassion was not good for Rob. If only Rob had been on websites prior where they may have already realised this is the case, perhaps something could have been done, but in Rob’s brain thinking is hard some days.
