Everything’s so goddamn ironic now that when you make any genre piece the writer isn’t thinking about how characters talk, they’re thinking about how a caricature of a decade (usually the 80’s talks).

Has there ever been a throwbacky nostalgia bait movie that was made to emulate the look of an image on a crt but unobtrusively? No pretending to flip through the channels or faux commercials or vcr tracking bits, just the badly calibrated crt experience like filter. Like a whole feature like this.
