Thomas Frank was a symptom of Tottenham's progressing disease
The coach was bad, but why would this club find a good one?

Thomas Frank departs Tottenham with the worst win rate in the club's Premier League history.

Of the worst 10 Spurs managers for PL win rate, Juande Ramos was the most recent before Frank, and he departed in 2008.

Spurs sacked their manager three months too late and still somehow managed to not have an immediate contingency plan in place.

No serious football club operates this way. What are we even doing?

Tottenham board finally sacks Frank, but still has no succession plan
This is a failure at the executive level, not just at the managerial level.

Romero's got nothing to do for a while. He can be interim manager.

There’s quite a bit of arguing in the Spurs online community about whether Frank, Lange, or the board is mostly to blame for the state of the team. But you don’t get this bad on Tottenham’s budget unless it’s all of the above.
not that Thomas Frank has done himself a single favor since taking the Tottenham job, but it really is remarkable to see the impact several years of poor squad building can have on a good team - there's not a lot this team does well and there are very few redeeming qualities

It's come to a point for me where I hardly cheer the goals as I know we'll concede.

The thing about it is that the goals we score are either set pieces or wonder goals. The number of goals we've scored in the PL due to fine attacking movement and combinations, well, I'm struggling to think of one

Our last PL win was against Palace in December.

Despite 3 pts it was clear that the type of performance wouldn't lead to sustainable results in the future.

To me this has been on the cards for months, now made worse by further injuries, squad deflation and the boards naivety with signings in Jan
The 11th Premier League game of the season that we have finished the game with less than 1xG.

From the previous 10 we have won just 1 of them (0.6 xG vs Leeds).

3 points today, but as we've already seen these performances are not sustainable to get results.
