American elites in Washington may be natural born bootlickers, but out in the country the American people haven't learned the quiescence of autocracy yet, not by a damn sight. They can recognize corrupt fascist overreach when they see it—and they hate it
Remarkable: Trump's deranged threat to block the bridge connecting Detroit to Canada is backfiring, giving Dems a big issue in 2026 races in Michigan, which could help decide control of Congress.

Michigan Dems tell me they'll use this against Republicans big time:

His corrupt threat to block the opening of the Gordie Howe Bridge is about to become a big albatross around the necks of GOP candidates in pivotal Michigan.

Wow.

All four GOP challengers to Democratic Sen. Ben Ray Lujan were disqualified for failing to meet ballot requirements.

If he has is no Dem primary challenger and no one runs an indy or write-in, he will have NO OPPOSITION in November.

I have serious questions about some redactions in the "unredacted" Epstein files I viewed this week.

Like why this email is redacted? It's saying Trump never asked Epstein to leave Mar-A-Lago (Trump claimed last year he did).

I parsed through some of the emails in the Epstein files, and it’s very clear that Epstein was a eugenicist weirdo. Something he very much had in common with the billionaire class à la Elon Musk, Peter Thiel and Donald Trump. New for @motherjones.com.

Sure they can. Just shoot the clerk

Obviously, this is not how things actually work. Constitutionally, members of a new Congress are elected by the voters, can be sworn in by any legal witness, & may convene however they need to. Which is why all this talk about cheating the election is nonsense.
