Hard pass for me, my local bus has more comfortable seats. Spending 6 hours in them on the San Joaquins recently was torturous.

BASE level coach seats on any train should be as nice or nicer than contemporary airline first class seats. People come in different shapes other than "plank", and we're sitting in the seats for longer than most medium distance flights anyway.
