For what it's worth I think all of the following can all be true at the same time:
-Detection of microplastics via analytical techniques can be really challenging due to detection limits
-Some scientific papers out there are poor and lack rigour
-Microplastics are bad for human health
‘A bombshell’: doubt cast on discoveries of #microplastics throughout human body, from brain to blood, arteries to testes

Exclusive: Some scientists say many detections are most likely error, with one high-profile study called a ‘joke’

Round 1 done, apparently.

It was very tight in the first row, so I guess my chain was too tight. I've noticed (after the first row) that the women in the video I'm watching has an extremely loose thread, but I can't do it that loose [yet] because the crook in my hook is too shallow.

"Transparency" is utilised to avoid ethical discussions around genAI. The ppl pushing for it have a very particular idea of what science is & how it is done. It is specially concerning that universities & other institutions fail to see the wider context of this fascist technical apparatus. #ResistAI

Has any other trans masc guy had a health care provider say they need to stay under 400 ng/dL? Because I'm seeing a range of 300-1000 ng/dL in the literature with recommendations on the higher end, and I'm trying to figure out where she got that number from.

I know that if I keep my levels below the benchmark she wants, I'll basically get all the symptoms of a cis guy with hypogonadism, so I am understandably not thrilled about this.

Oh cool my doctor thinks my T levels should be barely in the low end of the range for trans masc folks and wants me to immediately stop my HRT until I come in for an appointment bc it's "too high"

So guess I'm going to have to do another damn lit search just to get the accepted standard of care 🙃

This is our community's letter!! It was written by Josie Morway, a local artist and parent. After we started asking questions, the district slowed way down and starting holding forums, creating workgroups, and taking student privacy more seriously. Talk to us if you want to do the same!
Love to see community action against this AI nonsense! neighborhoodview.org/2025/11/13/d...

We don't have videos of the families living safely at home because of ICE watch, but that doesn't mean they're not there.

Something sociologists know (and the general public doesn’t) is that most people don’t actually hold very firm political beliefs. They just follow political directives from people they trust—in large part, to seek social status and acceptance.

Stigma is a powerful tool in shaping ideology.

And the ICE Watch needs to do nothing other than show up, blow whistles, film, and point out that ICE is comprised of sh!t human beings.

ICE's own actions lead to their own demoralization and injuries.

It can be hard to see the success of prevention efforts because we can’t see inside the minds of the people who changed their behavior because of those efforts.

But there are a lot of reasons to believe ICE watch is working. And it’s also part of why ICE watch is generally safer than it sounds.

I’m just echoing others who have already said this, but it’s a good thing that it takes so many ICE agents to make a single arrest.

It makes the whole operation slower and more resource-intensive.

The success of ICE watch interfering with ICE’s mission is almost certainly why DHS keeps sending more agents to Minneapolis.

They used to execute their raids with just a few agents. Now they need 6-12 to even begin to disrupt the social pressure to be nonviolent.

The goal of ICE watch is to surround that second type of perpetrator with people who *disapprove* of their actions.

It will make them less likely to be violent and we’ve seen that, in some cases, that includes rethinking their original plan to tear a family apart too.

I’m seeing lots of people on here misunderstand the purpose of ICE watch.

It’s de-escalation. And it’s grounded in the social science of violence. 🧵
